I was a Butt Plug Vigin, so I thought the Anal Starter Kit would be a great place to begin. I have no idea about Butt plugs really. There are so many different types that I was so confused and this seemed a wise choice!
The kit contains two Mojo Butt Plugs in sizes small and large, The Ultimate Guide to Anal Sex for Women (or for men) and Waterslide Anal lubricant.
The Ultimate Guide to Anal Sex for Women by Tristan Taormino is an interesting book. It’s not one that I would personally sit down and read all of at once, but is great for flicking through.
It has nineteen chapters covering topics from myths, anatomy, safe sex, lubricants, analingus, BDSM, anal fisting, STDs and much more. Definitely a great book to have for reference. It also has some pretty amusing illustrations and text.
Mojo Spades Small Butt Plug is packaged in a box with a window. You can see the butt plug clearly. The box is plain and simple, and you can use it for storage if you so wish. However I prefer storage bags as they take up less room.
With 1.5″ being the widest point of this butt plug and a length of 3.5″, I must admit as a beginner I was a bit fearful. I would probably have preferred something smaller in width. However looking at it now it doesn’t seem as large.
Made of 100% medical grade silicone this toy is hygienic and flexible. It has a slight seam running down the sides however this cannot be felt when I run my finger across it. It is easy to clean with warm water and antibacterial toy cleaner.
This toy is quite easy to insert when aroused with plenty of lube, and the width definitely gives a ‘full’ feeling.
It has a raised design which also enhances the feeling and is aesthetically pleasing as the tapered design leads down to a suction cup. I also rather like that the toy is black.
The suction cup base attaches well to most surfaces. Why a suction cup? I asked Twitter as I was unsure and imagining people being stuck to the wall with their butt plugs in.
To be honest, I just pushed it in slowly and it wasn’t too much of a problem. As a beginner I would also have preferred something with a larger base as when the suction cup is squished between my bum cheeks I fear it may go too far!
Mojo Spades Large Butt Plug is the same design and material, only larger, measuring at 4″ in height and 2″ at the widest point. This doesn’t really need to be in a starter kit in my opinion, however is good for when you want to move onto something larger. However, you may have to “train” yourself first as it is quite a big step up. A medium butt plug would have been better suited for this kit.
Waterglide Anal Lubricant has a good thickness and is textured somewhat like PVA glue. It spreads well and with butt plugs the more lube the better. With this kit you are supplied with 150ml which is plenty! As the butt plugs are silicone, you need a water based lubricant such as this.
Overall a great starting point for any butt plug virgins out there or even intermediate and advanced. Everything you need at great value, however you may want to also purchase a slimmer butt plug for beginners.
Colt Inflatable Butt Plug Review
The Colt Inflatable Butt Plug from Uberkinky is a black latex rubber butt plug which has a red pump and valve. The black latex picks up lint very easily so ensure to clean it thoroughly before use. It is waterproof and easy to clean with sex toy cleaner or soap and warm water. This is the first Inflatable Butt Plug I have owned.
The butt plug itself is bigger than I had anticipated, although, to be honest anything like this looks daunting to me when I know where it’s going! The butt plug has a circumference of 4.5 inches and an insertable length of 3.7 inches.
I used plenty of water based lubricant with the butt plug before inserting, however as I nearly reached the maximum circumference it began to hurt so I removed it. I need some more ‘anal training’ before I attempt to insert this inflatable butt plug all the way! The fetish fantasy anal silicone ass explorer may be a better starting point for beginners like myself.
When pumped the inflatable butt plug seems to inflate slightly wonky, however this doesn’t affect the overall effect. When I first inflated the toy I was rather taken back by how large it can get! This is certainly a butt plug which will continue to stretch your limits. You need to push quite hard on the pump for it to inflate which I see as a good thing, you don’t want to accidentally inflate it before you are ready.
When inflated, the inflatable butt plug doesn’t have any air leakage and the release valve is easy to locate and lets out the air quickly should you need it to or you can gradually let the air out.
Overall although it was too large for myself currently, the Colt Inflatable Butt Plug is well made and hopefully I will soon be able to use it to its full potential.

The head of the toy is petite which I love as it makes insertion a lot easier and I find the vibrations also really help when turned on to insert the toy. I personally prefer vibrating butt plugs to normal ones and the vibrations travel well throughout the toy. The shape of the toy means that it is targeted to reach your prostate/g spot and also provides a snug fit. I find it a lot more comfortable than the traditional shaped plugs.
It is very easy to clean with antibacterial toy cleaner and warm water and should be cleaned before and after use.
