This glass massager is part of the Icicles collection of sex toys from Pipedream. It is made of hand blown glass, the glass being Pyrex glass. This means it is heat resistant, shatter resistant, non porous, and body safe.
I’m a sucker for classy packaging. The Icicles No 13 comes in a pretty presentation style box. The front of the box opens to showcase the toy through a clear plastic window. There is some information about the toy on the inner leaf of the box, along with a picture on the front. When you open the top of the box, you find the toy itself is securely nestled in sturdy foam inside.
I was quite happy with the weight and feel of the Icicles No 13. Since it is made of glass, it is smooth, solid, and weighty. It is not as heavy as steel but noticeably heavier than jelly, silicone, or plastic. It weighs in at 6.75oz.
The tip of this toy is smooth, rounded at an angle, and tapered to a point, helping make insertion easier. The second bulb is larger , measuring1.5″ in width at it’s largest point. There is 4.75″ of insertable length. The tapered base makes it safe for anal play, keeping it snugly in place.
The handle at the base is quite large. This helps with insertion and control. If used as a plug, it seems to get in the way once inserted. Unless pointed to the side, the handle sits horizontally and makes sitting or walking with it in unlikely. I would have preferred a smaller handle that would sit neatly between my ass cheeks. I can see the benefit of handle placement if the toy is used as a dildo.
The thing that I love about glass is that you can use any lube you like. You could put things such as a vibrator or rope through the hole to add new sensations. It can also be cooled or warmed for temperature play.
During use, it stayed snugly in place. I like how the graduated bulb sizes feel, though the larger did take a little coaxing for me to get in. I use the Icicles No 13 as a butt plug, though it could be used as a dildo for vaginal or anal penetration.
Clean up is a breeze since it is a glass toy. Wash with antibacterial soap and hot water, use a good toy cleaner, wipe down with a 10% bleach solution, boil it, or even place into the top rack of the dishwasher. There are no crevices to make cleaning a pain. Taken care of properly, it should last a lifetime. It can be stored in a soft sack or even in the foam that it arrived in (depending on how much storage room you have).
