The Vibe Ring is a disposable vibrating blowjob machine released by Skins, who are best known for their condoms. It comes in a cute little cardboard box that’s just 7.25 cm long, 5.5 cm wide and 2 cm deep. The ring is sealed in a foil packet, measuring 8 cm by 8 cm, which protects the product and maintains hygiene.

The Vibe Ring is worn at the base of the penis (or dildo) and is covered with nodules that come into contact with the vulva during intercourse. These pleasurable nodules comprise of one large central nubbin, which feels both firm and squishy at the same time, surrounded by lots of soft ticklers of various length.

Unlike the Maximum Metal Silicone Beaded Cock Ring, which is very tight in order to restrict blood flow to the penis, the Vibe Ring is designed to stimulate the clitoris rather than prolong erections, so it is super stretchy and much more comfortable to wear. The thin, elasticated band seems fragile but it’s surprisingly durable and easily fits around the rim of a mug with minimal effort. It is also ridged to allow it to stay in position better on the penis.

The Vibe Ring comes with a disposable vibrating bullet that is pre-loaded with a battery so it’s ready to use straight away, making this convenient for travel. A label on the packaging indicates the production and expiry date of the battery, which has a 2 year life span. The bullet offers single-speed vibrations that last for up to 40 minutes and are controlled by a switch on the end. It’s very small and fiddly to slide the button but it stays securely in place and won’t accidentally turn off during use.

There’s no information on the box that clarifies whether the bullet supplied is waterproof or not, so I tested mine in a bowl of water and it continued to work just the same, but I have since been informed that it is only splash-proof.

The vibrations are quite strong for such a small bullet, but they are buzzy and surface level. The bullet is easily removed from the sheath, however, which can be stretched to accommodate a bigger or more powerful vibrator. I was able to use it as an attachment over my We-Vibe Tango, so I could enjoy the combination of soft, bumpy texture with intense vibrations for a whole new sensation.
