Design / Shape / Size
The Loving Joy Rev 1000 is quite large in size and looks quite similar to a torch. It has a small handle compared to the main part of the oral sex machine which accommodates the controller and LED display.
The main part of the Rev 1000 comes apart into many separate pieces for cleaning and changing the sleeve which is quite confusing at first especially as the manual isn’t overly helpful but after figuring out the purpose of each piece it’s easy to get the hang of taking it apart.
Each detachable piece of the Rev 1000 has a screw thread mechanism which is easy to unscrew but can be quite difficult to screw back on especially the large middle section, we found the best thing to do is take our time when screwing each piece back on. We do feel Loving Joy could’ve easily had at least one less detachable part on thetoy as it does feel slightly over-complicated.
This masturbator has 2 sleeves included which are quite similar to look at but provide quite different sensations. The choice of sleeves is a nice addition as most masturbators only provide one sleeve giving a limited experience.
The toy doesn’t engulf the whole penis (I have average length) instead it covers about 2-3 inches from the tip of my penis. This is not really a bad thing however as most of the sensations of a penis come from the frenulum area.
Functions / Controls
The Rev 1000 has a total of 49 different settings as it has 7 speeds and 7 separate different patterns giving a wide choice. Selecting each of these settings is very easy due to the very simple to use controller. The up/down buttons on the controls change the speed and the left/right buttons change the patterns. We like sex toys that allow us to go back a pattern/speed as it’s easy to accidentally press buttons once too often and this toy allows us to go back to the previous setting very easily.
This blowjob masturbator is very noisy and we can hear it even on a low-speed through a closed-door. Not only is the Rev 1000 noisy it is also a strange noise for a sex toy as it sounds similar to a vacuum cleaner crossed between a power drill. This could be a good thing as if people do hear this toy in use they may just think we are doing some spring cleaning or DIY.
We really like sex toys that are rechargeable as not only do they tend to be more powerful but they are also good for the environment. Charging is very simple using the supplied charging plug and is quick after the first charge (takes around an hour for full charge).
Even on a low-speed the Rev 1000 packs a punch. We do feel that it would have been better to have a lower rotation speed on the lower speeds as the difference between this and the highest rotation speed isn’t a huge difference. The patterns on this masturbator are very good and varied for the most part with a couple of exceptions for example pattern 3 doesn’t do anything for me as it only slightly rotates one way and then rotates the other and so on.
Packaging
The packaging of the Rev 1000 is quite good. We can see a lot of thought and attention to detail has been put into the design and what is included in the box but it could be better. We really like how this masturbator comes with a selection of international power adaptors which is very unusual for a sex toy and is a welcomed addition.
The back of the box is very text heavy with a muddle of bolded words and capital letters which makes reading difficult and makes us not want to read it. We would have liked to see a picture of the product somewhere on the box (you can see the product by opening the flap however) and maybe the rotation pattern diagrams and some other graphics on the back of the box would make it more presentable and less muddled.
The manual we are not overly impressed with as we feel it doesn’t explain how to use and clean the product very well and actually has a mistake in a key area of the manual which could cause injury to the user if followed. The manual does explain the various patterns on the Rev 1000 very well.
Care and Cleaning
To take care and to clean this masturbator isn’t particularly ideal thanks to the complex nature of taking it apart (you HAVE to take it apart to clean). Once taken apart the toy is still quite difficult to make sure it’s completely clean due to the sleeves closed and fragile nature and the product also seems to collect lint from the air very easily so it never seems to be 100% clean.
Changing the sleeve on the Rev 1000 is quite difficult as you have to unclip it from its holder and clip the other one in its place. This may sound quite simple but due to the fragile nature of the sleeve and how they clip into place they can get easily damaged. When we took off the original sleeve we could see damage around the rim of it and we feel after quite a few changes of sleeve they could easily tear reducing the life of this toy dramatically.
His Experience
“After applying lube to both the toy and my penis (lube is a must with this toy) inserting is easy because of the wide entrance. Once turned on this toy really doesn’t feel like any other toy I have ever tried and doesn’t feel like any normal sex act as the nodules inside the Rev 1000 rotate around the head of my penis gently stroking my sensitive frenulum and head as they spin by.
Gently is the word however with the sleeve already inserted in the Rev 1000 as I was actually very let down with it. The supplied sleeve included doesn’t feel amazing as it’s too subtle for me and has yet to bring me to orgasm. “The Rev 1000 is a monster! It’s big, loud and it means business. There are a few niggles I have with it though as I noticed there is about a centimeter gap inside the toy which if you get your penis trapped in it whilst rotating it could cause quite serious injury. Overall Opinion of the Rev 1000
On paper this toy sounds really good and it does actually perform very well with the second sleeve but our issues with the sleeves getting damaged, difficulty of cleaning and the risk of injury with the centimetre gap in the unit unfortunately makes us feel the product could be much better. We really hope Loving Joy brings out sleeves we can buy separately maybe with even some different textures to mix things up a little bit as we feel this is needed.
The Rev1000 does give really strong orgasms with the second sleeve and has yet to fail to bring me to orgasm which many other masturbators have failed in the past. This toy has really big potential and hope Loving Joy continues with this idea and brings out a new and improved Rev2000 in the future.
