I had purchased Sidekick #1 several years ago and hated it. I really didn’t understand it’s appeal and I modified it a few times before just tossing it completely. But here I am, years later, and I am picking up a new one. The reason is because I went to a workshop conducted by Jayme Waxman which was held at The Pleasure Chest in New York recently and she mentioned that this toy was great. I noticed that it had new packaging and so I decided to look into it again. On the new packaging they included instructions on how to use it. Apparently, you are supposed to turn it inside out. So I never claimed to be a smart person, only pretty and sassy.
Ok so the Sidekick is this cool looking blue blowjob masturbator that has lots of little nubs sticking out of it. It is made of Elastomer which is completely body safe and in this instance is safe to use with water based or silicone lubricants. Although it is durable, Elastomers should always be stored separately from other toys (in fact, I never have two toys of any type touching each other when I store them because sometimes they melt each other. The Sidekick measures 5.5″ long and is 2″ wide, but it stretches a good deal. It also claims to be tear resistant, and upon taking it out of the box and playing around with the elasticity of it, it sure can take a whoopin’.

I used a lot of water based lube with this one and went to town. Something that became clear to me from the get go was that I wasn’t enjoying the toy right from the start. Which is actually fairly common for me and a lot of people. You need to get yourself sexual aroused (not just physically) before using toys sometimes. It just feels better when you throw it into the mix rather than use it from the beginning.
So I stopped using it and went el macho solo for a little while til I was in the right mind set. After a while of this I used the sleeve again and it did indeed feel a lot better. If you are going to do this method it’s a good idea to have a rag at the ready to dry your palm off before you start to use the Sidekick because a slippery palm makes it harder to control.
You can do some neat stuff once you start using the sleeve. They recommended a pulling motion which was no-brainer enough, but they also suggested a twisting motion, which felt great! Those little nubs aren’t super soft so they provide a good amount of resistance, but they are soft enough to not hurt at all.
Placing one hand over the “head” of the sidekick while using the other to masturbate helped keep it on myself while battling the suction. The piece naturally wants to slip right off as soon as you let go of it, so keeping it in place is a good idea. I also found that going up and down the whole shaft didn’t feel nearly as nice as slipping it all the way on and then only jerking at the head.
When you cum into one of these things, it’s a mixed blessing. Cumming feels GREAT. The pleasure nubs really add to the orgasm and leave you twitching.
